Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Set Hire

This is a model of our new hire set for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which is now available for bookings. It’s been designed with flexibility and adaptability at its heart enabling the world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to transform seamlessly from one location to the next.

At the front of the stage, two downstage revolves each feature three interchangeable scenes: an exterior setting for outside the factory and two scenes inside the factory, one of which is the mixing room. There’s also a truck of the Bucket family shack and another for the Candy shop. These can be easily moved on and off to a variety of positions. For the opening scene there’s a set of Factory gates.

As the story moves from the streets outside the factory to inside it’s extraordinary and fantastical world, the upstage trucks positioned behind the rostra slide offstage, revealing the factory interior beyond. From here, the factory itself transforms using the downstage revolves alongside a series of smaller trucks brought on from the wings. These pieces create the different environments within the factory including the mixing room, the elevator and the television studio.

For the finale, the upstage factory trucks slide away once more, revealing a rooftop ground row. The elevator door sits at the same height as the rostra, creating the illusion that the elevator has risen high above the ground.
